In 2017 he was Awarded the Knight of the Order of Maritime Merit for his work protecting the french, and mediterranean coastal zones.

FAQs

How does it work?

The key to the success of the platform is the production, validation, and trading of quality Durable Stories. Sustainable Actions are documented and submitted to be validated by the system. Once scored, Durable Stories are minted and show up in the Organisations Story Stream where supporters can follow the orgs progress. At any point supporters can support a story by investing DURA the local token of the system.

Durable Stories and DURA are the taamana digital assets.

What are Durable Stories?

Durable Stories are digital representations of actions taken by local stakeholders that have been validated and scored by the ecosystem. You will find them in the story stream of an active organisation focused on making the world a more sustainable place.

Before Public launch of taamana Durable Stories will be Non Fungible Tokens (NFT), and therefore owned and tradable by taamana members

Why Collect Durable Stories?

taamana members will be encouraged to collect Durable stories, firstly as a means to directly and financially support organisations and local stakeholders that you follow.

Secondly, by owning a specific organisations Durable Story, enables you access to specific interactive features such as interacting with producers, and local stakeholders to influence and support their work.

Lastly, the more quality Durable Stories you have, the more opportunities you will have to earn and be rewarded throughout the platform.

Who is it for?

Anyone who’s interested in sustainable development. But in particular anyone who fits into any of the following broad roles.

Producers: Those who are engaged in performing local sustainability actions. These are most often NGO’s or community group leaders.

Supporters: Anyone interested in investing in supporting Durable Stories and the taamana mission

Validators (coming soon): Those who are interested in earning DURA for taking time to independently validate Durable Stories

Where does the $ invested go?

taamana takes a small fee for all transactions on the platform as a means to support itself sustainably. Outside of this 100% of the investments go directly to the producer and creators and local stakeholders of the stories purchased.

taamana is seeking

the world’s best locally acting small to medium sized NGO’s and CBO’s to become the founding generation of the new sustainability economy.
